There really isnt a whole lot to do in Lancaster, besides meth and racing cars. Oh, and having a screamo band, that’s oddly popular out there. But just neighboring the city proper, there lies the oldest purpose built race track in the country, Willow Springs. There’s nothing more fun than watching period race cars run around WSIR, I like to call it America’s Goodwood, a period correct track that hosts period correct racing.

An annual event here is the Cobra Owners Association weekend, where local Cobra, Shelby, and Ford owners bring their toys out to flex on other owners. The 2024 edition had some highlights like an ex Trans Am GT350, a few Gen 4 NASCAR’s, a genuine FIA Cobra, and a Factory DeTomasso Pantera race car with Targa Florio race history, which the owner was kind enough to take me for a few laps in.
